Faro Labs is operated by Kevin Benelli and Ernest Chan ("we", "us"). This describes what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account info: name, email, and (for email/password accounts) a hashed password. Google sign-in shares your name, email, and profile photo.
• Listing addresses and text you paste in to run an analysis.
• Usage data: which analyses you run, subscription tier, and basic product-analytics events (e.g. which pages you visit) tied to your account when signed in.
• Billing info, handled entirely by Stripe: we never see or store your card number.

What we don't collect

Our error monitoring (Sentry) is explicitly configured to never receive request bodies, cookies, or personal account details: it only sees error stack traces. We don't sell your data. The only signal that ever reaches an advertising platform is a minimal "an account was created" conversion event sent to Google Ads (see Cookies & advertising below): never your name, email, or anything you analyze.

Who we share it with

Third-party services we rely on to run the product: Stripe (billing), Google (sign-in and ads conversion measurement), Anthropic (AI processing), RentCast (property/market data), Resend (transactional email), PostHog (product analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

Text messages and phone numbers

If you use Faro's outreach tools, we process the phone numbers you import and the messages you send and receive so they appear on the right lead. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone. Numbers are passed only to the telecom provider that carries the message (Twilio) and to subcontractors supporting the service, and to nobody else.

Anyone can stop messages from you by replying STOP, which we record as a permanent opt-out that survives deleting and re-importing the lead. Opting out of texts never removes anyone from a list you hold: it stops the messages.

AI processing

Our AI features, extracting facts from pasted listing text, Ask AI, and Finn AI, send the relevant content (the listing text or the current report's context) to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data solely to return that response and, under its commercial API terms, does not use it to train its models and retains it only briefly for abuse monitoring. We don't send your name, email, or payment details to the model: only the property/report content needed to answer. We also keep a first-party record that you agreed to the in-product AI notice.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings this cancels any active subscription and removes your account record immediately.

Cookies & advertising

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We also use the Google tag (Google Ads) to measure whether our advertising works: it sets Google cookies that let Google attribute an account signup back to an ad click. This fires a conversion event only when an account is actually created, never on ordinary page views, and it carries no personal details, no listing data, and nothing about your analyses. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ads Settings or block the tag with any standard content blocker. The product works identically either way.
